Environmental Education

Environmental Education is crucial in helping young people to become responsible and caring citizens. It can provide the motivation to care about the major ecological and sustainability issues that affect the future of our planet.

Who we are for

The National Association For Environmental Education is the association of head teachers, teachers, lecturers, advisers, inspectors, education officers, trainees and all who are professionally concerned with any aspect of education and the environment.

The aims of the NAEE

To promote and support environmental education throughout formal education and in the work of NGOs. and to encourage the promotion of environmental education in other sections of society in the U.K. and overseas.

Our main objectives

To ensure that all schools in U.K. have a written policy for environmental education. To associate all schools/colleges, and their appropriate teachers/lecturers with NAEE and to assist all schools/colleges, and their appropriate teachers/lecturers to achieve environmental education for all.

The Green Corridor

NAEE see environmental education as being the 'green corridor' from which the eight doorways for a sustainable school lead.
