About Us

Introduction

Our organisation is a registered charity, set up nearly 40 years ago by a group of teachers and teacher trainers to support the teaching of environmental education in nurseries, schools and other educational institutions. Our services extend to all those concerned with any aspect of education and the natural or built environment.

Environmental Education is crucial in helping young people to become "responsible and caring citizens" through helping develop the skills of being able to think responsibly for oneself (and with others). It can provide the motivation to care about the major ecological and sustainability issues that affect the future of our planet and all our lives, wherever we live.
